Shearwater Marine Services Awarded Place on Prestigious Programme
Shearwater Marine Services are proud to be one of just five SMEs to have been awarded a place on the prestigious Amazon Web Services Vanguard Programme.
Our representatives travelled to Farnborough to attend the DPRTE event where the announcement was made by Luke Pollard MP, Minister for Defence Readiness & Industry together with Rupert Pearce, National Armaments Director and Tim Ketton-Locke, Head of Defence Office for Small Business Growth.
Delivered in partnership with Amazon Web Services and Make UK Defence, the Vanguard Programme represents a significant investment in driving innovation and productivity across the UK defence and supply chain.
Over the next three years, the programme will provide a comprehensive package of support, including AWS cloud credits, specialist technical training, direct access to AWS engineers and sector experts, and tailored business development mentorship.
For Shearwater Marine Services, this represents a valuable opportunity to further enhance our capabilities across simulation, data analytics, document management and production optimisation. By leveraging AWS's market leading cloud technology and expertise, we aim to drive greater efficiency, strengthen our operational capability and support continued growth within the defence sector.
This initiative highlights the strength of collaboration between government, industry and technology leaders in creating meaningful opportunities for UK SMEs and we're excited to play our part in shaping the future of the defence supply chain.
