Shearwater currently owns and operates six dive support vessels, which are active around the River Clyde and at nearby facilities. From the well-equipped welding bays, diving tank and base recompression chamber, to the MV Sleat, permanently moored on the Holy Loch, off the River Clyde. Equipped with fantastic onboard facilities our 38m training vessel MV Sleat has been described by some as the best air diving training vessel in the world. Included amongst the dedicated D023 dive system, are the three persons WetBell and Air Cage diver launch and recovery systems, breathing air panels, hot water suit delivery systems and hydraulic packs to allow Shearwater divers to sharpen their skills and develop new In-Water Engineering techniques.
The MV Sleat also houses its own, containerised hyperbaric recompression chamber that is management by the Shearwater Dive Technician team and operated by the Professional Diving Academy. As well as providing invaluable training opportunities to new divers, the MV Sleat RCC is also a key part of Shearwater and PDA's vital emergency response infrastructure.

Shearwater also operate 5 mobile dive control trailers which can be mobilised easily via road and ferry to all operational sites. These trailers allow us to transport all required surface supplied diving equipment to anywhere inshore as they are easily transported by road and ferry and take up very little footprint on jetties and piers where the work are required.
Shearwater have developed a dedicated dive callout van which is at a constant state of readiness at Shearwater HQ to be used for all emergency callouts. The call out van has a built in 2 diver panel, HD video recording capability with a 100m diver umbilical and further reduces our footprint on site and space requirements for ferry travel which we have to be particularly important during the summer months where ferry space and bookings are at a premium.
Shearwater's mobile, surface supplied RIB is a versatile and convenient solution for diving in remote bodies of water. Unlike conventional diving boats, the rib can be easily towed by a vehicle to any location where access may be more challenging. The RIB is able to be equipped with a surface supplied air system that allows diving to be carried out in any location without the need for any SCUBA.
