IT / Security Manager

The Role

The IT & Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's information technology infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures, and aligning IT strategies with business objectives. This role involves managing IT operations, implementing security protocols, and leading technology projects to enhance operational efficiency and data protection.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.

- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services to support business operations.

Security and Compliance:

- Develop and implement comprehensive IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and assets.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR.

- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management:

- Manage relationships with external IT service providers, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address their technology needs.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

- Conduct regular reviews of IT expenditures to ensure alignment with financial objectives.

Strategic Planning:

- Align IT initiatives with the company's strategic goals, identifying opportunities for technological innovation and improvement.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the company's operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in IT management and security roles, preferably within a similar industry.
